Entry-Level Software QA Engineer

Virtual Computer is looking for a highly motivated and innovative, entry-level software engineer to join the SQA team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic coupled with a willingness to dive in and operate as an integral part of a rapidly moving product development team.

What you need for this position:

• Bachelors degree; Computer or Science related areas preferred
• Programming experience; object oriented languages preferred (C++, Java)
  • Knowledge of the Perl programming language a plus
• Working knowledge, including installation, of either Windows or Linux operating systems
• Ability to work well with members of cross-functional teams
• 3-5 years related professional experience

What you will be doing:

• Every aspect of the SQA process from product idea inception to customer delivery
• Work side-by-side with product developers throughout the release cycle
• Develop and execute automated tests on a wide range of cutting edge hardware
• Gain exposure to a broad range of current and bleeding-edge technologies:
  • Desktop, server, and application virtualization
  • N-tier distributed client/server architectures
  • Cloud computing
  • Performance testing
• Work with support to investigate and resolve customer problems
• Develop strong test, debug, and product development skills
• Follow coding standards and best practices for code management
