Jon Karlen, General Partner at Flybridge Capital Partners
Jon Karlen, a General Partner at Flybridge Capital Partners, sits on the Virtual Computer Board of Directors. Jon also sits on the board of other high technology companies, including Eka Systems and GamerDNA, and previously sat on the board of ZING Systems, which was acquired by Dell. Jon joined Flybridge in October, 2005.
Prior to joining Flybridge Capital Partners, Jon was Director of Product Marketing at OATSystems, an RFID software company, where he was responsible for product positioning and marketing activities. Before OATSystems, Jon enjoyed a successful Entrepreneur-in-Residence position at Greylock, where he developed the investment opportunity in OATSystems.
Earlier in his career, Jon was an executive at NTRU Cryptosystems, an early-stage company focused on commercializing data encryption technology for constrained devices. At NTRU Cryptosystems, Jon served as General Manager for the RFID and Smart Card group and as Director of Product Management. Jon has also served as an Associate with Greylock and an Equity Research Associate at Montgomery Securities.
Jon holds a BA in Philosophy from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
