Rick Faulk Named to Board of Directors

President and CEO of Mzinga Joins Virtual Computer Team in Transforming the World of PC Lifecycle Management

Westford, Mass. -- November 17, 2008 - PDF PDF — Virtual Computer Inc., the company that is redefining PC Lifecycle Management, today announced that Rick Faulk has been named to the company’s Board of Directors. A veteran executive of market-leading, high-tech companies, Faulk is president and CEO of Mzinga, the leader in enterprise social software for the workplace, marketplace, and extended enterprise. At Virtual Computer, Faulk joins a visionary Board of Directors including: Dan McCall, president and CEO of Virtual Computer; Alex Vasilevsky, chief technology officer of Virtual Computer; Jon Karlen, general partner at Flybridge Capital Partners; and Peter Bell, general partner at Highland Capital Partners.

“Rick’s ability to recognize emerging technologies and transform young companies into market leaders, makes him an exciting addition to our Board of Directors,” said McCall. “Rick has led the go-to-market strategies at ground-breaking companies such as WebEx, Intranets.com, and PictureTel, and has a history of success in bringing disruptive technologies to mainstream markets.”

NxTop™ is Virtual Computer’s next-generation PC management platform, which makes it as easy to manage thousands of PCs, as it is to manage one. NxTop’s patent-pending technology isolates the PC’s critical components -- hardware, operating system, applications, and user data -- allowing each to be managed independently in a highly-scalable fashion without a persistent network connection. The technology effectively lowers the cost of PC deployment and maintenance and improves PC reliability and security, without compromising the end-user computing experience.

“Virtual Computer has rapidly emerged as a leader and key innovator in PC management and they will put significant pressure on larger, more established companies to ‘catch up.’ I look forward to helping accelerate their efforts to penetrate this emerging technology segment,” noted Faulk.
