NxTop uses hardware assisted virtualization chip technology:
- Used for hardware enforced isolation
- Helps provide an optimal user experience
- Found in most laptops sold since 2006
NxTop is fully compatabile with all virtualization technologies:
- Microsoft virtualization technologies: Hyper-V, Virtual Server and Virtual PC
- VMware virtualization technologies
NxTop uses Trusted Platform Module and Trusted Execution Technology for tamper proof execution environment with full disk encryption.
The NxTop Center is implemented in Java and Microsoft Technolgies:
- State of the art interface using Ajax and Google Web Toolkit (GWT)
- Multiple language interfaces for scripting
- NxTop can be installed and distributed as a virtual appliance
NxTop is interoperable with Microsoft and others:
- Microsoft virtualization is embedded for image creation and maintenance
- VHD format is used for virtual hard disk management
- OVF format is used for virtual machine import/export with other virtualization systems
NxTop Center is being integrated into third party consoles and technology products, such as Microsoft System Center, VMware Virtual Center, Symantec SVS and others.
