Disabling a Virtual Machine
Disable a virtual machine (VM) to temporarily not allow use of that VM. When users next log in and contact the NxTop Center, NxTop Center disables access to that VM. You may want to disable a VM to back out an update or patch that is found to have other problems.
You can only disable a VM base image, and that will affect all users of that base image.
A disabled VM:
- is not deleted from the NxTop Engine, but cannot be used
- does not affect any backups of that VM
- can be run on the console
- can be (re-)enabled later and put back into use
To disable a VM, use the following steps:

Step One
Click on the Virtual Machines branch of the navigation tree, then select the VM you want to disable.
Step Two
Click Disable in the Virtual Machines Actions Panel.
Step Three
Click Yes on the Confirmation pop-up to disable the VM.
The VM is disabled. It appears in the list of VMs with "(disabled)" as a reminder. When selected, the Enabled action appears in the Actions panel.
To enable the VM for use when you are ready, use the Enable action.
