If You Love Your Client Hypervisor, Set It Free

Greetings from Chicago, where we just wrapped up an action-packed three days at BriForum 2010, Brian Madden's annual gathering of some of the sharpest minds in desktop virtualization.  BriForum is really more of a technical symposium than a traditional vendor "trade show," so we left the usual marketing gimicks at home and just had fun geeking out with our latest code, including a sneak peak at NxTop Connect.

We also chose BriForum as the venue for what I actually think is the most signficant announcement in our company's history.  On Tuesday, made NxTop available as a free download!  No hoops to jump through.  No time limit.  Anyone who would like to try NxTop can now complete a simple registration on our website and gain immediate access to the download.

Here are the details:

• The free download includes both the NxTop Center management console and our NxTop Engine client hypervisor software.
• Your free license entitles you to run the software on up to 5 PCs.
• We haven't stripped down the free version. It is identical to our enterprise product with the exception of the exclusion of our Active Directory connector.
• There is no time limit. Run it for as long as you would like and expect lots of free updates.

NxTop has been a labor of love for us since late 2007, and we are really excited to get it into the hands of the IT and PC enthusiast communities.  It doesn't matter to us whether you ever intend to buy the paid version. What matters is that we get the necessary user feedback to make our fantastic product even better.  If we listen to you and act on your suggestions, word-of-mouth awareness and financial success will come.
