Virtual Computer Makes a Strong Showing in 2011 and is Poised for Big Things in 2012
While VDI has been heavily promoted by virtualization giants VMware and Citrix, Virtual Computer has continued to demonstrate that Intelligent Desktop Virtualization (IDV) offers better performance at a lower cost โ delivering better ROI to companies and a better user experience to employees. Companies that have already implemented VDI can add IDV into the mix to bring down the data center costs as they scale out their desktop virtualization. Below are just a few examples of the progress Virtual Computer made in 2011...
Rapid Growth of New Customers & Proven Customer ROI
Virtual Computer demonstrated significant acceleration of new customers with hundreds of customers now using the NxTop IDV solution. Customers demonstrated a rapid ROI with reductions in PC support issues ranging from 50-90%. Core capabilities such as shared image management and the ability to snap-back to a pristine golden image were shown to dramatically reduce support issues. Customers also experienced radical improvements in disaster recovery, enabling them to recover from malware or corruptions over 1000x faster than native PCs.
Over 5X Growth in Channel Partners
Virtual Computer experienced over 5X organic growth channel partners โ driven by partners proactively approaching the company to resell NxTop . The compelling business value of the market-leading IDV solution has drawn the attention of partners across the globe, enabling them to deliver a higher performing and cost effective desktop virtualization solution than their competitors.
Global Distribution Agreement with the #2 PC-Manufacturer in the World
Virtual Computer is the only IDV solution provider to have sealed a global distribution agreement with a major PC vendor. In 2011, the leading analyst firms Gartner and IDC announced that Lenovo surpassed Dell as the #2 PC-manufacturer in the world. In the same year, Lenovo selected Virtual Computer as its desktop virtualization solution of choice โ offering customers the ability to get NxTop directly from the Lenovo factory.
Confirmation of Market Leadership by Independent Intel Survey
In an independent survey by Intel of over 200 IT professionals at companies with at least 100 employees, Virtual Computer was confirmed to be the leader in Intelligent Desktop Virtualization. The top four companies were Microsoft, Citrix, and VMware. With the other companies focused on app virtualization and VDI, Virtual Computer was the leading company focused on Intelligent Desktop Virtualization and the only private company to be listed in the top four.
