My windows 7 guests do not have a cdrom drive for some odd reason.

Thoughts?

First of all, make sure the CD is set to 'auto' assignment mode (so it is given the guest in frton when the CD tray is ejected/inserted (select Devices->Device Manager from the control panel).

If the CD is set to automatic assignment then please post the file L:\NxTop\Logs\NxTopMonitor.log which will help us determine why the CD is not being seen.

This issue seems to have fixed itself. I have no idea why, but I'm going with it.

Glad it's working. If you post the nxtopmonitor.log we might be able to tell you what happened...
