Ok just to share my experiences of getting NxTop Engine running on a Mac.

MacBook Pro Mid 2010 model ver 7,1

Need to use the internal DVD drive i replaced mine with a second hard disk and a USB drive just doest cut it.

Hold down the alt key and wait for the disk to be recognised, it will show up as a Windows disc which will boot and start the installation.

Tried the standard Nvidia driver but that just left me with a black screen and flashing cursor.
Next upgraded and used the experimental driver.

Initially just a black screen but this turned out to be resolved by just increasing the brightness.

Now the problems

On boot the screen is biright during the splash screen you get a mouse cursor and the screen suddenly drops to half brightness and cannot be increased.

Everthing works but i did get some screen corruption on a Windows 7 install i started which is only present in the VM itself.

So its close but not useable for me at that brightness level.

This sounds like it could be a problem with the monitor drivers. You might want to check those as well.
