Adding a Product Key
For a NxTop to use the Symantec Endpoint Virtualization Suite (SVS), it must have the SVS agent installed. To install the SVS agent, a NxTop must have a product key.
NxTop Center can include a SVS product key with each NxTop image, and (if not previously installed) the NxTop Engine can run the SVS installer package and install the agent on the NxTop.
This topic describes how to add a product key to NxTop Center. The full process from downloading the Symantec package to adding the installer package to each NxTop is detailed in Symantec Endpoint Virtualization Suite.
To add a product key for Symantec Endpoint Virtualization Suite:
Step One
On NxTop Center, click Overview on the navigation panel if it is not already displayed.
Step Two
Click the Add Product Key action.
Step Three
Select Symantec Endpoint Virtualization Suite from the dropdown list (only entry).
Step Four
Enter (or paste) the product key in the text field.
The key may not appear immediately. Press F5 to display the key value.
Step Five
Click Finish.
This product key is passed to each NxTop image. When published, the key is used with the agent installer kit to produce a valid SVS agent.
You can view the Symantec Endpoint Virtualization Suite product key by clicking on the Product Key tab of the NxTop Center Overview.
