Console Details
The Console panel in NxTop Center provides a number of navigation and view options once you have enabled the Hyper-V Console package.
The first time you use a browser in the Console tab of a NxTop, you are prompted load an ActiveX package of Console controls from Virtual Computer (PkgHypervConsole.CAB). These provide tools for interacting with the Hyper-V console. This is requested only the first time you use a given browser to with the console.
Granting permission to the browser to install the package will display the Overview Summary panel. You will need to click on the NxTop under NxTops on the navigation panel. When you click on the Console tab, the installer prompts you to install:

Install the package the first time you use a NxTop Center Console panel with a given browser.
The Hyper-V Console includes a set of command buttons running across the top of the Console Window:

Each button is described below.
![]()
Creates a separate window for the Console. If you do not have HIS installed, this allows for an emulated mouse (the separate Console window is a Windows application rather than a web application). The window can be moved like any window on a desktop.
The window is sized to match the resolution size used in the NxTop. Change the display size in the Display control panel used by the NxTop to change the size of the window.
When the Console runs in a separate window, the button changes to Run in Management Console. Click that button to close the separate window and display the NxTop in the Console panel.
Switching between the separate window and the browser window does not affect the running NxTop.
Hot keys
These are key combinations used to display the Start Menu, Task manager, or Login screen within the Console. You can also select the entry on the dropdown list to select a key function.

Occasionally, the Console may lose focus from the keyboard and not accept typed entries. Click the Grab Focus button to correct this issue.
