Deleting a Policy
Deleting a policy removes it from NxTop Center.
- You can assign VMs a different policy of the same type without needing to delete a policy.
- You can modify the definition of a policy to change it without changing its assignment.
You only need to delete a policy to remove it from NxTop Center, and you can only remove a policy when it is not assigned to any VM.
Note: You cannot delete the Default Engine policy.
Deleting a Policy
Step One
Change the policy assignments so the policy you want to delete is not assigned to any VM.
Step Two
Select the policy to be changed on the Policy navigation tree.
Step Three
Click the Delete action.
You can only continue if the policy is not assigned.
Step Four
Click Yes at the confirmation message.
The policy is removed from the Policy list.
