Events
NxTop Center tracks activity across the NxTop Solution. Each activity that happens in NxTop Center or to one of the NxTop Engines is tracked as a separate Event entry.
Each object available through the navigation panel includes an Events tab that displays the events that pertain to it. For example, highlight the name of a specific computer in the navigation panel and click on the Events tab to see only events related to that computer. The Events tab of the Overview, representing NxTop Center, displays all Events.
You can filter events, to make it easier to find specific events.
Each event has a severity:
| Information | report of an event that occurred | |
| Warning | report of an event, not dangerous itself, that an administrator may wish to examine, such as a potential security violation | |
| Error | report of an error that occurred. The requested action was not performed |
Each event includes
- the time and date it occurred
- brief description
- the object that is the subject of the report (NxTop Center, computer, NxTop, software, user, or policy)
- source of the report (computer, NxTop Center, Administrator)
Click on the event icon to display a pop-up window with full detail about that event, or click Show Details at the bottom of the panel to see some detail for all entries on the screen.
Events are displayed in a paged table. Navigate through the table using the navigation control in the bottom the main panel:

Event displays are updated dynamically.
