Modifying a NxTop Virtual Machine
Change the NxTop virtual machine by running it in the NxTop Center Console and updating the guest operating system or installed applications. Changes to the base image affect all users of a shared NxTop when they receive a new published version.
The types of changes performed this way may include
- Joining the NxTop to a domain
- Installing service packs
- Applying patches or other system updates
- Installing, upgrading, or removing applications
To Modify an existing NxTop virtual machine:

Step One
Click NxTops in the navigation panel and select the NxTop to be changed.
Step Two
Start the NxTop in NxTop Center.

Click the Console tab. The main panel displays the desktop for the NxTop image.
Step Three
Log into the NxTop and make the changes to the operating system or applications as you would on a natively installed OS.

Step Four
After finishing any updates ro adjustments, shut down the NxTop.
Step Five
Publish the NxTop. Create a deployable version to propagate the chances automatically for a shared NxTop.
The new version of the NxTop is listed in the navigation panel. When an assigned user's computer contacts NxTop Center, the new version is downloaded, prepared, and is used when that NxTop is rebooted.
