Register NxTop Engine by Admin on Behalf of User

Users can be registered on a NxTop Engine by the Administrator.

Generally, a user's first login registers the computer, linking it to a specific user on NxTop Center. Instead of entering the username and the user's password, an administrator can use the administrator login and password, and set up a NxTop Engine for a specific user, allowing it to load any assigned NxTop virtual machines before being handed to the user. The admin can use the control panel on the NxTop Engine, but cannot start any of the NxTop virtual machines.

To login on behalf of a user, load the NxTop Engine on the computer and power it up. Answer the login prompts as follows:

Username: administrator|username
Password: administrator_pw
Any NxTop Center admin | NxTop user name
password for admin user

Notes

  • Between the administrator and user name use the vertical pipe/vertical line character (|) without spaces between them.
  • Complete registration by the user before trying to upgrade the NxTop Engine.
